Welcome!#
This is A2T, my personal blog for all things development related.
This blog will be home to my thoughts and developments on computer science and personal applications. New personal project? I’ll post about it here and what the process is like. Thoughts on CS related topics? I’ll post my thoughts on what I learn here. Hitting diamond in rocket league? I’ll post about it here. This will be like my personal Twitter (X), just with less bad takes.
Why start a blog?#
I’ve been coding for a while now. I started around middle school with python. Over the years, I found myself learning how to code, with the help of my the internet and the motivation to put my ideas into applications that anyone could use. Through that time, I found myself coming up with ideas that I wish I held onto. A live auto-tune app, a password encryption chrome extension, utilities for social media, AI automation processes, and so on and so on. This blog will act as a public notepad where I can record make ideas and plan for personal projects that interest me alongside my curriculum without having to dive through some note I left on my phone 2 months ago.
I also get a lot of inspiration by Github repos that fall into my timeline. When someone posts a link to a repo that interests me on Twitter (X), I always bookmark them for future project ideas.
On top of these ideas, I get inspiration from tools I find in my timeline. I’ve saved so many github repo to my Twitter bookmarks that I don’t think I’ll ever get through them all. It’d likely take a full day to scroll through my bookmarks to find the jems that I really want to work with.
“Instead of constantly loading tweets, related and un-related, it would be way better to have a site where I saved these repos with a short description/demonstration that I could see from anywhere, at anytime.”
This would be way more convenient and allow for a lot more flexibility in searching for inspiration, as opposed to scrolling through a mind-numbingly long list of twitter bookmarks. (most being memes if I’m being honest 🤷♂️)
Finally, I want to record the progress I make on personal projects. When I finally start working on a project, it can get kinda lonely as the projects I make are hard to explain to people with out coming off as a mad scientist. I have an eclectic palet of interests that I enjoy working on. However, without a proper way of communicating these ideas, I find myself just keep them to myself.
“Wouldn’t it be better to just have somewhere I can write down my ideas, progress, and plans where anyone could see and enjoy?”
With all these problems I found myself facing, I decided to do something. Here I will have a place to share ideas, record thoughts, save repos for future use, and hopefully inspire someone else on the way too.
